Two men sustained what Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp described as serious injuries following shootings in the Bowers Road area of Littleton this afternoon.

Both men were flown to an undisclosed medical facility, he said in a statement.
The matter occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Bowers Road when deputies responded to a shooting call.
Early investigation, which still continues, shows Travis Davis, 26, shot 48-year-old George Jefferson. During an ensuing scuffle, the gun was dropped and Christopher Wood picked it up and shot Davis. All three men are from Littleton.
Tripp said this evening motive remains under investigation and detectives are still trying to determine what charges will be filed and who will be charged.
