The arrests have occurred over the course of the past week.
Hasty declined to discuss motive this afternoon.
In a statement, however, he said Captain B.L. Martin identified several people allegedly linked to the crimes.
They include Ryan Turner, 21, of Gaston; David Allen, 18, of Gaston; and Dylan Johnston, 18, of Roanoke Rapids.
Two juvenile girls and one juvenile boy were also charged. Hasty said the juveniles are aged 14 and 15 and are friends or associates of the adults charged.
They are charged in the following crimes:
The July 15 breaking and entering of a residence in the 700 block of Williams Street where several items were taken.
The July 18 theft of a vehicle in the 600 block of Charlotte Street.
The July 19 breaking and entering of the same residence in the 700 block of Williams Street where additional items were taken.
On July 19, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Deputy D.J. Epperson contacted Roanoke Rapids officers Alex Green and Jeffrey Mason the stolen vehicle was recovered at Food Lion on West Tenth Street.
Turner and Allen face two counts breaking and entering; two counts larceny after breaking and entering; two counts possession of stolen goods; larceny of a motor vehicle and two counts injury to real property.
Turner received a $10,000 bond and August 17 court date. Allen has the same court but received a $5,000 bond.
Johnston was charged with breaking and entering; larceny after breaking and entering; possession of stolen property and injury to real property.
He received a $10,000 bond and has the same court date as Turner and Allen.
The three juveniles have been petitioned to juvenile court to face charges on August 4 of breaking and entering; larceny after breaking and entering; possession of stolen goods; larceny of a motor vehicle and injury to real property.
Investigators Jeff Davis, Gorton Williams and Chris Babb assisted.
