Two men already facing charges in a botched robbery attempt — one of them currently at large — have more counts lodged against them in a motorcycle theft in Garysburg last month.

Jonathan Johnson was served a warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle Friday.

Detective J.M. Clark of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office served him the warrant at the Halifax County Detention Center where he is currently awaiting an appearance in the shooting that occurred at Holly Court in February.

He was given a $100,000 bond and awaits a May 20 court date on the possession of a stolen vehicle charge.

Clark also drew warrants for the same charge against Kwame Robinson, who is currently on the lam in the shooting.

Clark said the charges in the motorcycle theft are unrelated to the shooting.

The stolen vehicle was recovered behind a residence on Delphinium Lane in Littleton on February 12. It was reported stolen from Garysburg the previous day.

Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. of the Northampton County Sheriff's Office said he expected to file charges against the pair, who are both from Littleton.

The shooting occurred February 28 around 7 p.m. at Holly Court in Weldon following a failed robbery attempt where the victim was shot several times.

The victim continues to recover from the wounds sustained.

Anyone with information on Robinson's whereabouts is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
