DeLoatch stays perfect on the mound

Former Roanoke Rapids resident Jordan DeLoatch 6-0 in college baseball this season.

 

The 23rd-ranked UNC Pembroke baseball team plated three runs in both the seventh and eighth innings and held off a late comeback attempt by Barton to put the finishing touches on a successful road campaign with a 10-8 win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday afternoon at Nixon Field.

 

 

Southpaw Jordan DeLoatch (6-0) struck out seven and scattered seven hits and five earned runs over 6-2/3 innings of work to stay perfect on the season for the Braves.
