Halifax Baseball beats the rain and St. Davids

Halifax Academy varsity baseball beat St. Davids 17-7 in 5 innings Tuesday night.

 

Halifax scored 3 runs in 1st, 6 in 2nd, 2 in 3rd, 4 in 4th, and 2 in 5th.

All players saw action at the plate for the Vikings. Matthew Wray and Ryan Hockaday each had a double. Luke Blackman, Ryan Mizelle, Andrew Bryant, Collin Smith, Tyler Jomo, Cody Moore, Taylor Harris each had singles.

St. Davids pitchers walked 12 Halifax batters and hit 2 with pitch.

 

 

Collin Smith earned the win for Halifax, pitching 4 innings: walked 2, struckout 4, allowed 5 hits and 3 runs.

 

Andrew Bryant came in and pitched 5th inning walking 2, struck out 1, allowed 2 hits and 4 runs.

 

 

Play at home Wednesday at 5 PM against Cary Christian.
