Chaloner became conference champions by beating Gaston in a 15-0 victory Monday.
Leading hitters for Chaloner were Cameron Salmon with a triple and 2 RBI’s. Chase Johnson with a double and a single with 2 RBI’s. Aaron Jackson and Peyton Jackson with a double and 2 RBI’s each. Jake Van Dam, AC Tant, and Carson Neal each had one single and 1 RBI.
Jack Neville pitched a complete game giving up I hit while striking out 6.
Chaloner has a 9-0 record.
There next game will be at 3:00p.m. on Thursday at Halifax Academy for the Halifax Academy Easter Tournament. The tournament will last Thursday through Saturday.
Gaston Middle had to forfeit in softball to Chaloner due to not enough players.
