Bryant's hot bat pays off for Halifax baseball

Halifax wins with only two hits

 

Halifax Academy hosted Kerr-Vance Academy Monday on the baseball diamond.

 

Luke Blackman puts Halifax up 1-0 in the 1st inning.

Halifax beat Kerr-Vance 5-4 in 6 1/2 innings.

 

1st baseman Matthew Wray makes the tag.

At the plate for Halifax, Andrew Bryant had a 2 RBI triple while Landen Pool had a single for the only two hits of the game for Halifax.

 

Tyler Jomo makes an awesome catch in left field for Halifax.

Ryan Mizelle started on the mound for Halifax pitching 3 innings allowing 2 walks, 5 hits, 4 runs and 3 strike-outs. Luke Blackman came in for releif for 4 innings allowing 3 walks, 1 hit, no runs and 4 strike-outs.

 

Blackman on the earned the win for Halifax.

 

Halifax host St. Davids Tuesday at 5 PM weather permitting.
