The victim in a Monday fire remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.

“They are keeping her sedated now,” neighbor Donna Harrell said of Christina Tannenbaum. “There is going to be a long road of recovery for her.”
Tannenbaum’s two children are with their grandparents “but we could use toys for a 1 ½-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy,” Harrell said. “We appreciate all the money and clothes donations that we have received for the children and Chrissy from everyone.”
The biggest need now is clothing for Tannenbaum, Harrell said.
The list includes:
Jeans sized 11-12 to 13-14
Underwear sized 7-8
Bras sized 36-38 DD
Socks and shoes sized 8-8 ½
Extra large shirts and sweatshirts
Large sweats, lounge, pants and shorts
“Any household items as she lost everything,” Harrell said, as well as dry or canned dog food for the family pet, which her grandparents are keeping. “Money donations are needed for visits and trips for Chrissy’s parents to and from UNC Chapel Hill and food for the children as both grandparents are retired and on fixed incomes.”
Harrell expressed thanks for the support the community has shown her neighbor. “Thank you for all your love, prayers and donations for this beautiful family that we have come to know and love and is a very important part of our block family on Raleigh Drive.”
Donations may be brought to Harrell at 720 Raleigh Drive.
