Anthony Moody sentenced to 7-years fed time

His brother already sentenced to six years in June, Anthony Tyrone Moody today in Greenville received an 84-month federal sentence for conspiracy to distribute and possess at least 5 kilograms of cocaine.

Senior United States District Court Judge Malcolm J. Howard also sentenced Anthony Moody, 45, of Seaboard, to five years of supervised release.
His brother, Sterling, was sentenced following a 2014 Drug Enforcement Administration sting. The cases were related, previously reviewed federal court records show.
Anthony Moody previously pled guilty to this charge on August 10, 2015.
On September 10, 2014, the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested Anthony Moody when he was delivering 8 ounces of cocaine to a cooperating witness, according to a statement by the United States Attorney’s Office.
The investigation revealed he was responsible for distributing 45 kilograms of cocaine since the early 2000’s.
The federal prosecution was handled by Special Assistant United States Attorney Glenn Perry. Perry is a prosecutor with the Pitt County District Attorney’s Office.
