Enfield police Chief Tyree Davis said in a statement Tawanda Tillery, 35, of Enfield, was arrested shortly after noon Monday by Detective Willie Murphy Jr. She faces charges of felony breaking and entering; felony larceny after breaking and entering; and felony possession of stolen goods.
Davis said this morning the woman allegedly took various household items as well as outdoor items.
Investigation began when officers were dispatched to a breaking and entering in progress near South Church Street Sunday just after 7 p.m.
Officer P. Rackley and W. Hammiel arrived and found the back door glass broken and door opened.
Officers entered the home and found the suspect left the scene.
Murphy’s continued investigation led to the charges against Tillery, who received a $5,000 bond and August 17 court date.
