During the operation agents seized marijuana, cocaine and pills in Weldon, Roanoke Rapids and areas of the county around Roanoke Rapids.
The operation included investigation of more than 14 cases involving more than 10 people and 46-plus charges.
Operation Fireball was driven by citizen complaints and intelligence reports from other officers, Harris said in the statement.
Willie Price, 40, who allegedly sold twice to an undercover officer, Harris said this afternoon, was arrested Monday for an outstanding Halifax County order for arrest while at a convenience store on Old Farm Road.
Halifax Central Communications also confirmed Price was entered in a national criminal database and was wanted in Virginia for failure to appear for a felony offense.
At the time of his arrest Monday, Agent D.W. McKeel located 14.8 grams of powdered cocaine in his pocket.
He was charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harris said the paraphernalia was a black steel tube with cocaine residue inside.
McKeel also charged Price on the counts related to Fireball, where he allegedly sold cocaine and 7.5 milligram Oxycodone pills to an undercover officer at Green Garden Court off Georgia Avenue in Roanoke Rapids.
For those operations McKeel served him warrants for possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, sell cocaine, deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance, sell schedule II and deliver schedule II controlled substance.
Price received a $21,000 bond for the drug charges and was jailed without opportunity for bond on the Virginia charge.
Today, Agent C.L. Dixon arrested Robert Lee Sherrod Jr., 56, of Roanoke Rapids, for possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana, sell marijuana and deliver marijuana. This investigation was conducted by Agent D. Hundley.
Sherrod received a $1,000 bond with a July 27 court date.
Other arrests are pending.
