The third man wanted in a Colonial Heights, Virginia, child abduction was arrested Tuesday night, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

Travis Darnell Harvey, 31, who had warrants taken out on him for the Monday night abduction of the 7-year-old, was located at a residence in the 1000 block of Franklin Street, Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement.

Lieutenant Jeff Baggett and Officer Alex Green assisted United States Marshals who took Harvey into custody without trouble. He was jailed on $1 million bond. He has a Friday court date in Halifax County pending extradition to Virginia.

Hasty did not immediately know the connection of the three arrested — Harvey, Troy Patterson and Travis Bennett — to Colonial Heights. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported Tuesday Bennett had once been in a relationship with the child's mother.

Harvey and Patterson both have lengthy past criminal records with previous arrests in Halifax County, state Department of Public Safety records show.

Hasty said in a statement Harvey was served a fugitive warrant for abduction by force to deprive liberty.
