Ashlyn Cooke didn't allow a single run as Halifax Academy Vikings defeated Rocky Mount Academy Eagles 5-0 on Thursday at Halifax Academy.

Cooke allowed just four hits. In the first inning, Halifax Academy got their offense started when Cooke grounded out, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Rocky Mount Academy was a single by Katie Bulluck in the first inning.

Cooke got the win for Halifax Academy. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out 12 and walking one. Berkeley Miller took the loss for Rocky Mount Academy. The hurler allowed eight hits and five runs over six innings, striking out nine.

Halifax Academy tallied eight hits. Berkley Garner, Cooke, and Karson Ricks each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Vikings. Garner led Halifax with three hits in four at bats.

Halifax Academy didn't commit a single error in the field. Garner had the most chances in the field with 13.

Halifax stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Garner led the way with five.

Halifax Academy lined the area with Pink Pinwheels and fans wore their Pink in support or honor of Breast Cancer fights.
