Both teams were strong in the pitcher's circle Wednesday, but Halifax Academy defeated Chaloner 3-2.

Payton Odom allowed just four hits to Chaloner. Chaloner got things moving in the first inning, when Candence Ball singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Payton earned the victory in the circle for Halifax Academy. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six.

Piper Vann toed the rubber for Chaloner. The hurler lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two and walking zero. Candence Ball threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Halifax Academy hit one home run on the day. Karson Ricks had a long ball in the sixth inning. Teagan Hamill, Adalyn Hudson, Scarlett Harris, and Karson all had one hit to lead Halifax Academy.
