After a rocky start to the season, Roanoke Rapids High School Men's Tennis finished strong at the conference tournament this past week with 5 players qualifying for regionals' play later this month.

The Jackets' doubles teams of Jeffrey Castillo and Arafat Qasam, along with Avery Garner and Reagan Taylor battled hard to earn their wins. Castillo and Qasam placed third overall in the tournament, while Garner and Taylor clinched the title as the 2A Big East Conference Doubles Champions.
In the singles division, Coleman Neal cruised his way through opponents, making it to the tournament's finals match to earn his second-place finish. Lastly, Harris tells RRSPIN that first-year player Ryland Yeatts, made an impressive showing at his first conference appearance, though just falling short of victory.

The qualifying players will prepare to face their next opponents on April 29th at a location yet to be announced.
