There is a new local youth football team in the area this Fall.

The Roanoke Rapids Giants have formed a JV and Varsity team and are joining the Halifax/Northampton County Midgit Football League this Fall.

The teams held a football camp the past three nights at Allen field and are set to start practice in August.
