Sophmore Halifax Academy Lady Viking Emerson Poole was honored Friday night during pregame for reaching over 1,000 points in her varsity basketball career,

Halifax Academy Headmaster Mike Ferguson and Varsity basketball coach Rick Ruffin presented Poole the game ball for surpassing her 1,000 scored point in her caree.

Poole  accutally scored 19 points Wednesday night at Ridgecroft school bringing her two and half year varsity caree total to 1,010 points leading into tonights home CIC conference match-up with St. Thomas Moore from Raliegh.

Going into Friday's match-up, Poole has  earned 1,010 points with a caree average of 16 points per game, 670 rebounds, 138 blocks, 30 double doubles and shooting percentage of 52.7%.

Poole is only one of a few from Halifax Academy who have reached the 1,000 point varsity mark. Poole joins past Lady Vikings such as Kelly Williams, Hayley Wood, Jody Williams and Melissa Carico in the 1,000 Point Mark.
