Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) has been honored as an All-Region selection, it was announced by D3hoops.com this week.
Williams earned a First Team All-South Region selection, the second such award of her career.
Williams will exit Randolph-Macon with a host of records, including for most career rebounds in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference record books, as well as second in scoring in Randolph-Macon history. She had the second-most double-doubles in Division III Women's Basketball this season, finishing with 22 on the year. She was the ODAC Player of the Year and the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Williams was also named the ODAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player and was awarded All-ODAC First Team this season. She finished the year with 491 points and 335 rebounds after the team finished as the Lexington Regional runners-up in the NCAA Tournament earlier this month. The team defeated #9 Transylvania in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Williams has been a D3hoops.com All-Region selection in each of her full seasons. In 2016-2017, Williams was named the Rookie of the Year in the South Region and Second Team All-Region. As a sophomore, she earned the Region's highest honor as its Player of the Year and First Team All-Region.
The Yellow Jackets finished the season 19-10 overall. The team received votes in the final D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Top 25.
