James Joseph Dore (Jim, Spike), 91, passed away on December 8, 2023. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel Dore and Ethel O’Rourke. 

James is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Patricia Errickson Dore, sons, Thomas Alan Dore (Chong Sin), Michael Alan Dore, and James Joseph Dore II, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

James was an elder at Pleasant Hill Christian Church. He enjoyed being with his family, friends and helping others.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Greg Hand officiating at Pleasant Hill Christian Church. 

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 P.M. 

Burial will follow at Old Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery. 

Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, building fund, 550 Ankum Road, Gasburg, Virginia.
