Wesley Carlton Newsome 84, passed away on November 11, 2023. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Merilyn Lee Newsome, parents, James Wesley Newsome and Ruby Hazel Newsome. 

Wesley is survived by his children, Wesley Carlton Newsome Jr. (Connie Crews), Darrell Wayne Newsome (Michelle Wright), Cindy Browder, Raymond Poole, Tripp Nunnally, grandchildren, Lori Harrup (AC Pegram), Amanda Butler (Gene Butler), Ashley Newsome (Brandon Butler), Taylor Newsome (Will Hux), Hayley Newsome, Dylan Newsome (Samantha Atkins), great-grandchildren, Valerie, Alayna, Presley, and Emersyn.

Wesley was a member of Victory Baptist Church for 12 years. He was a man of God, hard worker, and enjoyed traveling. 

A funeral service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, on November 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating the service. 

The family will receive friends an hour before starting at 1:00 P.M. 

Interment will be held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
