James Thomas Rooker Jr, 81, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
He was born on August 3, 1942 to the late James Thomas Rooker and MaeBelle Carroll Rooker.

James is survived by his children, Ginger Hargrave (Andrew) of Dinwiddie, Johnny Rooker (Robin “Robbie”) of Emporia, grandchildren, Heather M. Dunn (Charles L. Dunn IV) of Dinwiddie, Andrew D. Hargrave Jr (Stacy S. Hargrave) of North Carolina, great-grandchildren, Zach H. Hargrave and Gideon C. Dunn, sisters, Corene Birdsong (Gerald) and Myrtle Pierce. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Wrenn Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Matthew Reider officiating.
