Carolyn Jacqueline Baird Hux, 69, of Weldon, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021  at Vidant North Hospital.  

Carolyn was born in Halifax County to the late Sidney Benjamin and Ella Belle Baird.  

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Hux, brother, Sidney B. Baird Jr. and grandson Joshua H. Hux.

Carolyn attended New Testament Christian Church. She was a gifted musician and worked in the medical field as an RN. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Brian R. Hux (Krystal) of Roanoke Rapids; Christopher A. Hux (Jessica) of Bath, NC; Adam B. Hux (Michala) of Odenton, MD; Nicole Hux Reaves (Mike) of Camden, NC. She has 8 Grandchildren Nick, Rilee, Brandon, Brycen, Michael (Jessica), Ella, Mariah, Ben. She has a brother Terry L. Baird (Agnes) of Wilmington, NC; Two sisters Phyllis B. Edmonds and Glenda B. Moseley of Roanoke Rapids NC.

Funeral Services will be held February 3, 2021, 2:00 pm, at New Testament Christian Church, with a committal service at the new section of Cedarwood Cemetery following.  

The family will have a visitation at the Church one hour prior to service. Pastor Daniel West will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association or New Testament Christian Church
