Helene Limlai Johnson, 86, died Sunday, January 26, 2020 at her home.

Helen was born in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa Hannawald Limlai. 

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Willie Lee Johnson, a son, Robert Will Johnson, a daughter and son in law, Alane “Mikey” Bobbitt and Mike Bobbitt. 

Helen was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a longtime member of Victory Baptist Church. 

She loved her family, cooking, gardening, crocheting and needle work, helping her neighbors, and meetings with her German Girls, to keep up with events in the Old Country. 

Helen is survived by her son; Bill Johnson and his wife Donna, her daughter; Cindy Johnson Crowder and her husband Donald, a sister; Irene Thiriat of Germany, a daughter in law; Ginger Garner Johnson, she was Oma to her grandchildren; Marie W. Mason and her husband Scott, Michael A. Womble, Steven L. Ward Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Stephanie Ward Lynch and her husband Lee, Daniel Crowder and his wife April, Julie J. Johnson and her husband Steven, McKenzie Johnson, Robert W. “Toby” Johnson Jr., and a special friend and neighbor, Novella “Shaw” Deloatch, 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home, and other times at 148 Devonshire Circle.
