Melody Jo Edwards Gannett, 56, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019. 

Melody was a native of Halifax County, the daughter of June Hathaway Shearin and the late Gregory Donald Edwards. She attended Atlantic Christian College and was an office manager with Able Home Healthcare.

In addition to her Mother, Melody is survived by her beloved husband Alden A. Gannett II, her daughter, Ashley S. Zipf of Knightdale, her sisters, April Edwards Mitchell of Kenansville, Hanna Edwards Roppo of Naples, FL, and Elizabeth Edwards Pittman of Clayton.

Funeral Services will be held Monday October 21 at 2:00 P.M. at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. A private burial will be held later. 

The Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. until Service time at the Funeral Home.
