Clara Mae Perkinson, 89, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Monday, September 2, 2019, at her home. 

Miss Perkinson was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, the daughter of the late Claude A. Perkinson and Eva Garriss Perkinson. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Martha Ann Perkinson. She was a retired employee of Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Surviving are two sisters, McCoy Gaynor and Claudette Perkinson, both of Roanoke Rapids, NC; eleven cousins, Larry Perkinson, Ricky Perkinson, Hugh Perkinson, Mike Hedgepeth, Bunny Bullock, Jackie Jones, Bonnie Kay Molineux, Ann Binford Newsome, Jean Jones, Tommy Mincher and Janet Piersa.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, 1015 West 5th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Noon, with Rev. Wanda Ogden, officiating. Interment will follow in Old Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The family will receive at the funeral for one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
