Sylvia Carpenter Carroll, 56, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. 

A native of Halifax County, she was the daughter of Dewey E. Carpenter Sr. and the late Bonnie Frazier Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Carroll.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughters; Shannon Bradley and Lisa Strickland of Sanford, a son; Johnny Michael Bradley of Gaston, four brothers; Dewey E. Carpenter Jr. of Kittrell, Westley Carpenter of Garysburg, David Carpenter of Archer Lodge, and Clifton Earl Thompson Jr., three sisters; Dinelle Stone of Hopewell, VA, Tammy Avery of Clayton, Laura Thompson of Gaston, and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service.
