It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Gibson, “Beth,” 45, on April 30, 2026.

Beth was born in DeKalb County, Georgia on November 4, 1980, to Robert Bishop and the late Melinda Goff.

Throughout her life she enjoyed numerous hobbies. Cooking for her family was always a favorite for Beth, as was camping, off-roading, and fishing — always looking for the one that got away. She also enjoyed traveling, especially when they had time to run east to the beach, or west to the mountains, to enjoy time in nature.

In addition to her mother, Beth was preceded in death by her Granny, Mary Hoskins; her Nannie, Helen Bishop; her Papaws, David Goff and Hugh Bishop; her father-in-law, Ivey Gibson; and her nephew, Joey Whichard.

Beth leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Dennis; daughter, Morgan Bishop; son, Dylan Gibson; father, Robert Bishop; brother, Michael Bishop (Lucy); mother-in-law, Martha Thomason (Wade); sisters-in-law, Lisa Hayhurst (Chad), Kathy Hughes (Mike), and; brother-in-law, Tyrone Biggs; nieces, Katie Holcomb, Hailey Holcomb, Sara Bishop, Leanne Whichard, and Brianna Biggs; nephews, William Mead, Alex Biggs, and Brandon Hughes; and great niece, August McCray; and childhood best friend, Laurie Boozer, all of whom will miss her dearly. Beth also leaves many friends and coworkers with whom she shared laughter and tears. Beth will be remembered forever for the love she shared with others.

The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all who have offered condolences during this tender time in their lives.
