It is with deep sadness that we announce Ronnie James Ball, 79, has cast his last line on earth and entered his Eternal Rest on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
Ronnie was born in Creedmoor, North Carolina on September 17, 1946, to the late Charlie and Annie Mae Ball, née Whitt.
Ronnie was a hard-working tradesman who took pride in his many years of work as a construction pipefitter. In addition to his jobs, he equally enjoyed yard work and gardening, growing an abundance of vegetables and fruits to provide for his family and friends.

When time allowed, Ronnie would slip away to his fishing pond where he enjoyed peaceful moments at the water. Whenever he couldn’t be found, Derlie knew to look out to the pond to find him relaxing, reflecting on the wonders of God’s work in nature.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is also preceded in death by his son, Jamie; sister, Joann Cook; brother, Tommy Ball; and grandchild, Avery Pearson.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Derlie; children by marriage, Denise Norwood, Shane Pearson, and Barry Pearson; grandchildren, Austin, Luke, A.J., Peyton, Dawson, Jalen, Lexie, Shyann, and Alyssa-Reese; great grandchild, Avery; and his beloved four-legged companion and daily shot-gun rider, Daisy Mae, who is already missing her car rides down to the river. All will miss him deeply.
A Graveside Service will be held for Ronnie at 2 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating.
