In Loving Memory of Jerry Wayne Strickland      

Jerry Wayne Strickland, 58, of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, November 27, 2018, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC, after a two year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  

Jerry worked at Mattachione Construction as a Fleet Manager.

Jerry loved life and lived it to the fullest.

He was a loving father, husband, brother and son.  

He was full of life and energy.  

Jerry was very talented and love to use his talents to help others.

Jerry is predeceased by his father, Troy Lee Strickland Sr; his mother, Erleen Forbes Strickland; his sister, Peggy Rose Layton; his brother Troy Lee Strickland, Jr; his brother-in-law, Charles Williams; his nephew, Dustin Harrison Strickland; his father and mother in law, Arthur and Vickie Larrimore.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Larrimore Strickland; his daughters, Megan Strickland Fortner (Luke) of Raleigh, and Victoria Anne Strickland of the home; his sisters, Susan Williams, and Teresa Portis (Robert) of Roanoke Rapids; his brothers, Bobby Strickland of Boerne, Tx, and Jimmy Strickland (Lisa) of Roanoke Rapids. His sisters in law Vickie Hagberg (Gary) of Virginia Beach, Sandra Lynch (Claude) of Littleton, Joy Cooper (Neal) of Raleigh, Tammy Irby (Roger) of Coopersburg, PA.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of which were special to his heart.

His passions in life included spending time with his family, friends, and working on Mazda RX7s – anything mechanical!

He rarely met a stranger.  He possessed this amazing ability to connect with people in a way that made them feel comfortable and immediately establish a connection, more like family than a friend or acquaintance.

A celebration of his life was held at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road on Saturday, Dec 1.  Receiving was from 1-3. The Celebration of Life Service was at 3pm.
