A memorial service for James William “Copperhead” Davis will be held Saturday, February 29, at 2 p.m. at the E.E. Odom center in Gaston NC, located at 222 Craige St.

On January 18, 2020, James William “Copperhead” Davis departed this Earth surrounded by family. He was 62 years old.

He was born October 5,1957, to William Vick & Bettie Overton Davis. 

He was preceded in death by both parents, as well as a brother, Joseph Ray Davis, and a close friend, Sue Pope.

James is survived by a daughter, Kristy Lynn Bradley, three Beloved grandchildren, Xavier, Vanessa, and Samantha, as well an uncle, William Overton, sisters Beronica “Bonnie" Casper (Steve), Betty Ann Davis, a special friend and cousin, Earl Johnson; cousins Ann, Andy, Shelby, Pam and Shearin.

James was loved by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Anyone who knew Copperhead, knew he was happiest when he was outside. He had a passion for fishing, and hunting and loved to have a good time. He lived life to the fullest, and will be missed by many.
