Donald Mathews Rose Sr. of Margaretsville, NC passed away peacefully at Rich Square Nursing & Rehabilitation on Monday February 12, 2024.
Donald was born on July 26, 1943, in Halifax County. He was preceded in death by his parents Claudie Linfent and Hettie Bell Matthews and his brother Linfent Rose.

Donald is survived by his wife Eva O Rose, his son Donald (Sharon) Rose Jr, his daughter Laura (Gregoire) Texier of San Diego, California, his sisters, Pearl (George) Dunbar, Dorthy (George) Flythe and Addie Baird, his grandchildren Jacob (Paige) Rose, Matt Rose, Sam Rose and Jean-Luc Texier.
Donald served his country in the United States Air Force. After serving he was a successful businessman in trucking, chicken & hog farming. He was a Shriner, a Mason and he was a member of Galatia Baptist Church.
The family will have a memorial service at Galatia Baptist Church on Saturday February 17, 2024, at 1:00pm.
