Mr. Willie Eugene Moore, 90, of E. 13th Street, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 in his home.

Mr. Moore was born in Harnett County on June 19, 1928, to the late Archie and Mamie Bledsoe Moore.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Eugene Eason Moore; and siblings, Francis Cook, Paul Moore and James Moore.

He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.  

He loved the beach, fishing, working in his garden and growing flowers.  

Mr. Moore was a US Army veteran and a follower of Shepherds Chapel.

Survivors include his children, Garry Moore and wife Elaine, Steven Moore and wife Susan, and Jennifer Moore and fiance’ Roy Brown, Jr.; grandchildren, Heather Moore Acree, Kevin Moore and wife Sammie, Brandon Moore and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Chloe, Skyler, Rylee and Willie; and siblings, Richard Moore and wife Myrtle, and Faye Daniels; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Lyn Poythress, caregiver of Mr. Moore, and also to Community Home Health and Hospice.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from the graveside at Cedarwood Cemetery, with Chaplain Roy Porter presiding.  Friends may visit following the service.
