Joyce Conner Burnette, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee Conner and Katie Byrd Reese Conner Neville.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles E. Burnette; sons, Charles E. Burnette, Jr. and wife, Amy and Joe Burnette and wife, Jessica, all of Roanoke Rapids; six grandchildren, Andrew Burnette, Matthew Burnette, Ashley Plyler, Dalton Plyler, Ethan Burnette, and Nevaeh Foster; great grandchild, Delila Grace Houstues; and her sister, Priscilla  Conner Dorer and her husband, Ricky of Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Askew Funeral Services, 731 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Askew Funeral Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
