Wilma Hamill Walker, 86, was received in heaven after passing at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC on December 10, 2024.

She was born March 10, 1938, in Enfield, NC, the daughter of the late Maggie Mae Tant and Joseph Calvin Clay.

 Wilma is survived by her husband, Eddie Walker; sister, Josephine Gregory (her husband, Dennis Gregory) both of Roanoke Rapids; brother, A.C. Tant, Sr. (his wife, Barbara Jinnett Sykes) of Raleigh; sons, Burley G. Hamill, III, (wife, Laura Hamill) of Louisburg, NC, Joseph C. Hamill (wife, Linda Hamill) of Valentines, VA, and daughter, Angela H. Grey (husband, Wayne R. Grey) of Youngsville, NC; 5 grandchildren, Heather Barber, Victoria Hamill, Clay Hamill, Tyler Hamill, Erica Cerow; 4 great- grandchildren, Lucas Barber, Jaxon Barber, Morgan Cerow, and Brooke Cerow.

Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Good Samaritan Baptist Fellowship Church, 142 S. Zoo Rd., Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Dennis Gregory, Sr. officiating. Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to  Good Samaritan Baptist Fellowship Church, 142  S. Zoo Rd., Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.
