Miss Louise Elizabeth Carter, 84, of Potecasi, died Thursday, February 7, 2019, in Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly, Hampton Woods Nursing Home, in Jackson, NC.

Miss Carter was born, July 7, 1934, daughter of the late Robert Carter and Mildred G. Carter. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Carter, Robert J. Carter and Nathaniel “Sonny” Carter; sisters, Robbie Ann Carter, Margaret C. Wallace, Dorothy C. Johnson, and Kathleen Carter.

Surviving are her sisters, Shirley C. Flythe, of Conway and Mildred C. Arnold and husband, Linwood, of Morehead City.  She was also survived, and greatly loved, by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Miss Carter was a dedicated member of Potecasi Baptist Church, where she served as secretary of Fidelis Sunday School Class and a member of the WMU.  Miss Carter loved Potecasi very much and love to visit the residents at Pine Forest Rest Home.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Askew Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel, Jackson, NC from 7-8:30 pm. Rev. Ricky Browder will conduct a graveside service Sunday, February 10, 2019 in the Potecasi Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

The family will like to give a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, for their loving care given to Miss Carter.
