Lenn Reece Woodruff, Sr. 87 of Garysburg, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Northampton County on October 19, 1935 to the late Clyde Henry Woodruff and Lucille Hargrave Woodruff and was preceded in death by his siblings, Thurman Woodruff, Sr., Medie Merritt, Jean Hargrove and Johnnie Sue Davis.

Lenn was a 1954 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School and retired from Champion International Paper Mill after 35 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated member of Lebanon United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent most of his adult life.

Lenn is survived by his wife, Jean Cook Woodruff; his son, Lenn Reece Woodruff, Jr. and his wife, Teri; his twin brother, Glenn Woodruff, and his wife, Priscilla; his step-grandson, Michael Clarke; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Bob Clyde officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in the Cook Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
