Milton Ray Edwards, 63, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home.

He was affectionately known as “Ray Ray” to his nieces and nephews.

He was born in Greensville County Virginia on October 6, 1957 and was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Grizzard Edwards; Father-in-law, Mason Wrenn; Sister, Connie Bryant; brother, Wallace Wayne Edwards; brother-in-law, Bret Wrenn and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Wrenn and nephew, Jamie Bryant.

He retired from Perdue in Petersburg, VA and after his retirement he worked for Belmont and Manning Schools. 

Ray is survived by his wife, Kim Wrenn Edwards; his daughter, Shannon Bellflower and her husband, John of Roanoke Rapids; his son Lee Edwards and Samantha of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his mother, Mary Edwards of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his sister, Jane Butler and her husband, Frankie of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his grandchildren, Kaylee Edwards, Kaelyn Edwards, Paisleigh Edwards and Addie Edwards; special grandchild, Haley Spivey; his mother-in-law, Jo Wrenn of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his sister-in-law, Tracy Wrenn Kidd and her husband, Billy of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his brother-in-law, Mike Wrenn and his wife, Deanna of Tampa, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Mike Wrenn and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Interment will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
