Barbara Fowler Sledge, 79 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. 

She was born in Halifax County, NC to the late John Edward Fowler and Kathleen King Fowler and was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephanie Nichole Sledge.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Clarence Sledge; her two daughters, Kimberly Thacker of Roanoke Rapids, and Angela Trinneer of Roanoke Rapids; her two sons, Michael Sledge of Roanoke Rapids and Lee Sledge of Roanoke Rapids; her five Grandchildren, Chris, Steven and Anthony Thacker, Brianna, and Zachary Clay; her five great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Wanda F. Mitchell and husband Bill of Chester, VA and Judy Mclaughlin and her husband Earl of Virginia Beach VA. 

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2pm with Rev. Randy Martin Officiating. 

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. 

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
