Doris Brown Haislip, 93, died Saturday, December 14, 2019, at her residence in Raleigh, NC.

Doris was born, September 21, 1926, in Northampton County, NC, daughter to the late, Alpheus Jordan Brown and Bessie Lane Brown. 

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Simon Day Haislip; son Dennis Day Haislip and son-in-law, Richard Middleton.

Surviving are her daughters, Darlene Middleton of Raleigh, NC; Debra Raper and husband, Steve, of Greensboro, NC; son, Simon Day “Skip” Haislip, Jr. and wife, Diane, of Fallston, MD; four grandchildren, Wendy Middleton of Raleigh, NC, Dennis Haislip, Jr. of Ames, Iowa, Brant Haislip of Fallston, MD and Tara Pistorio of Parkville, MD. Also surviving are 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Askew Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Brant Haislip will conduct funeral services in the chapel, at 2:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
