A new, free public school choice will open this fall in Hobgood, NC.
Located at the meeting point of Edgecombe, Halifax, and Martin Counties, Hobgood Charter School (HCS) will initially serve families of children in kindergarten through eighth grades (K-8). The school will be providing transportation via cluster stops to and from the school for children in the surrounding areas.
Hobgood Charter School will utilize custom curriculum and will pair it with a whole child approach, project-based learning, and multi-age collaboration. HCS aims to provide scholars with the skills to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Open enrollment for HCS runs March 8th through April 11th, 2019 with an enrollment lottery held April 13th at 10 am.
