The 2024 Roanoke Rapids Christmas Parade stepped off this afternoon under sunny skies accompanied by mild late fall temperatures.

The Roanoke Rapids Public Library this evening announced the winners.

They are:

Church floats

First: Greater Joy North Church

Christmas floats

First: Concrete Rose Dance Academy

Honorable mentions: Hannah’s Closet, David’s Towing and Customs, All Fluffed Up Pet Salon

Car and tractor clubs

First: Roanoke River Antique Tractor Club

Fire and rescue

First: Roanoke Valley Rescue Squad 

Honorable mention: Eastern Medical Transport

Bands

First: KIPP Pride High 

As hosts, Roanoke Rapids bands are not judged. 

Winners will be contacted this week to arrange pickup of trophies and certificates.
