The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office continues to highlight cold cases and today is asking people for information on the shooting death of Crystal Bell, which occurred on June 24, 2012.

Captain Patrick Jacobs at the time deputies responded to a vehicle fire at a residence off Macon Price Road in Pleasant Hill.

Law enforcement discovered that Bell, 29, was deceased and was the victim of apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body.

“During this extensive homicide investigation, no direct evidence has been developed to bring the person (or persons) responsible for the death of Crystal Bell to justice,” Jacobs said.

Anyone with tips or information can submit information anonymously at the Northampton County Crime Stoppers website or contact Detective W. Brown at 252-534-2611.

There is a $5,000 governor’s reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
