An Enfield man remains in the Halifax County Detention Center after his arrest on 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

An investigation began Monday when the criminal investigation division of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a man identified as Aryan Guevara, 31, was in possession of child sex abuse material, Major Anzell M. Harris said.

Through an investigation led by Detective C. Watkins, multiple search warrants were applied for.

On Wednesday the HCSO CID with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations executed a warrant at a residence on Tippette Road. During the search warrant execution, multiple devices were seized and Guevara was arrested.

Guevara was confined to the Halifax County Detention Center on a $75,000 secured bond for the 10 counts.

Detention center records show he has a November 14 district court date.
