Students from across the Roanoke Valley had a chance to experience farm life during the opening day of Harvest Days this morning.

On the grounds of the 4-H Rural Life Center in Halifax they had a chance to visit and pet farm animals, toured a farm house on the grounds and experienced more modern day exhibits such as Elizabeth City State University’s aviation program.

Harvest Days opens to the public Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Rural Life Center is located at 13763 Highway 903 in Halifax.
