Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputies are awaiting autopsy results after responding to a residence off Highway 158 west of Roanoke Rapids Thursday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office received a report of a deceased at the residence.
Sheriff Wes Tripp said in a statement it appears the homeowner, 85-year-old Franklin Faulcon, had been deceased over an extended time period.
Preliminary findings indicate no signs of foul play.
