A Nashville man faces felony drug and other charges after he was stopped Thursday night for driving a vehicle with only one headlight.
Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Corporal K. Taylor and Deputy I. Miller were in the Hannon Street and Highway 301 area of Enfield when they observed the vehicle driven by a teen identified as Karmarri Jeffery around 9 p.m.
Major Anzell M. Harris said the deputies conducted a traffic stop.
When Jeffery exited the vehicle, he ran away but was apprehended.
Jeffery had a handgun concealed in his pants. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a bag that contained 223 grams of marijuana.
Jeffery was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, resist/delay/obstruct, driving with license revoked, possess marijuana paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was jailed without the opportunity for bond and has an August 29 district court date.
