Chief Shane Guyant said around 4 p.m. Officer M. Morris observed a man later identified as Jones driving a vehicle erratically in the area of Third and Monroe streets.

Shabazz  placed a pistol magazine on the dashboard. Morris observed a barely visible rifle stock jammed between the passenger seat and detected the odor of marijuana within the vehicle. Guyant said Jones admitted to having marijuana.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and yielded a .22 pistol and a .223 rifle, along with a box containing 200 grams of marijuana. All occupants were arrested.

The juvenile petitions are for felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, and a minor in possession of a firearm.
