A Weldon man was served warrants Tuesday while in custody at the Halifax County Detention Center for the larceny of a four-wheeler at a residence near Airport Road in June.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant T. Byers recovered the stolen four-wheeler and obtained warrants on Tizell Jazziz Powell, 23, for felony breaking and or entering and felony larceny of a motor vehicle, according to Major Anzell M. Harris.

He was scheduled to appear in district court today on those charges. No updated court date was immediately available on the state court calendar.

Powell is also scheduled to appear in superior court on July 22 for counts of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony probation violation.
