A Roanoke Rapids man was charged Friday for driving on a revoked license and possession of 10 oxycodone pills.

Captain Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Quincy Vann Jr., 24, was already on probation for possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine when Deputy D. Bybee stopped him on Roanoke Avenue near Medlin Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. for a vehicle code violation.

Bybee found him in possession of the oxycodone and paraphernalia.

Vann was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.

He received a $10,000 bond and a March 28 district court date.

He also has an April 19 district court date for no operator’s license.

He is no longer in custody at the Halifax County Detention Center.
