A man who was last seen around 7:30 a.m. in the Cambridge Avenue area of Roanoke Rapids Friday was reported missing on Tuesday.

Roanoke Rapids police Chief Shane Guyant said the person who reported 31-year-old John Edward Donnelly missing said the man does have mental health and addiction issues but is not violent and has not expressed any suicidal thoughts or displayed any suicidal tendencies.

He left without transportation or a telephone and has no social media presence.

He has lived in the area since last August and has not been employed since moving here.

He has friends in New Jersey and Florida.

Donnelly stands approximately 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has a medium build. He has a Superman symbol tattoo on his upper left chest and a dragon inside a circle tattoo on his upper left arm.

He has light facial hair.
